Using rings of inner tube is one of the most convenient methods for starting a fire.
Use the inner tube from a bicycle tyre. It can be cut with scissors and makes a handy manageable ring of an adequate size.
The rings can be hung on a large sized carabiner placed on your belt. I put half a dozen to 10 or so onto a carabiner attached to my 'survival pouch' on my belt so they are always with me. More can be placed in your pack as required. (Note: I will do future videos discussing my 'survival pouch').
Cut fairly fat pieces at least 2 cm wide which should give you plenty of flame to start kindling.
Unlike a candle and matches which requires primary or secondary tinder material, small sized kindling can be used straight on the burning rubber.
