Jaws is a 1975 thriller film directed by Steven Spielberg, from a screenplay by Peter Benchley and Carl Gottlieb, based on Benchley’s novel. The plot follows police chief Martin Brody, who confronts a massive great white shark terrorizing the beach town of Amity Island. As the shark attacks escalate, Brody teams up with marine biologist Matt Hooper and grizzled fisherman Quint to hunt the predator and save the community. The ensemble cast includes Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Lorraine Gary, and Murray Hamilton.
