In this video, I will also provide a brief overview of Bodhidharma. At the end, you’ll see the Daruma doll. Daruma is a traditional handmade wishing doll from Japan and one of the country’s most popular good luck charms. It symbolizes the meditation of Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism. The doll’s round shape represents resilience, embodying the saying, 'Fall seven times, get up eight.' (Note: The dolls themselves don’t actually move.) Daruma dolls are typically made from papier-mâché, and red is the traditional color associated with them."
