Our first glimpse of the WAR RIG is of its components in the Citadel's House of Holy Motors. You may not recognise it immediately, as it is in rusty pieces - an excavator claw from the truck that young Furiosa saves from the Winch Room, a toothed mining drill which will become the Bommy Knocker, and some sheet metal from the Southern Cross Windmill.
Watch it gloriously come to life in this BTS video journal, where more than 12 months of work has been distilled into less than 12 minutes.
I spent 24 months working on FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA.
I enjoy recording these moments, because they happen just once. I am in awe of the crew who pour their love and care into these vehicles and sets.
