Paytm a great company in the wrong country; Valuations close to insanity: Experts

Описание: Paytm made a weak debut on exchanges. The stock got listed at a 9% discount at Rs 1,955.00 apiece, against the issue price of Rs 2,150 per share. Anurag Singh, Managing Partner, Ansid Capital believes that the company’s valuations were close to insanity. He would not buy Paytm at even 50% of the current value, he said. Tech is a very fast-changing space and it’s a winner take all market with PhonePe and GooglePay having a large market share, he said. He does not see positive gross margins in Paytm and believes the company will find it difficult to translate to a profit without even a gross margin. However, Digant Haria, Co-founder, GreenEdge Wealth believes that Paytm is a great company in the wrong country
