This (preliminary) video is about the new
"HomeBuild Automatic Micro Fiche Scanner II"
and how to scan micro fiches with it.
Its the follow up to • Automatic micro fiche scanner at work
Sound is German with english subtitles.
The construction is basically a cheap chinese "Prusa-like" 3D printer
with a digital camera attached. Magnifying optics are photo lab technology.
In this video full work flow to scan a micro fiche is demonstrated.

Selection of a micro fiche from DEC library box.
Record fiche title strip data into meta data file.
Search for already scanned duplicates in local "bitsavers.org" mirror.
Save full photo of fiche as artifact documentation.
Semi-automatic alignment of the fiche on the scanner's carrier.
Selection of document pages("frames") to scan.
Finally watch the automatic scanner run!
