Welcome back to Heritage Unit Profiles! In this episode, we take a look at one of Union Pacific's SD70ACe locomotives painted to honor former railroads that are now part of the UP system. We will be looking at the UP 1983, painted in the colors of the Western Pacific Railroad. To start off, we will look briefly at the history of the Western Pacific followed by a discussion of the locomotive and its special livery.
