Back with another video of the Saberwing from Azalea aviation. Here is a factory tour of the company. You get a little more in-depth view of what happens behind the curtains, in building the Saberwing airplane and the power plant/engine that goes with it.

Bill Clapp is the owner and founder at Azalea. he’s built and flew the Corvair auto conversion engine for years. This is the same engine used in the experimental Saberwing. Currently the company is testing an all new 120 horse power turbocharged engine in the corvair. Each engine unit is built with 6 cylinders so you have some safety blanket there if a cyclinder gives out.

The best part of this tour though was being the Saberwing on a tricycle landing gear. This is the build for the LSA version of this aircraft. saberwing light sport will be available to customers and it will be powered by the standard 100hp corvair engine
