Are We Actively Listening

Описание: This topic is about our verbal and nonverbal listening skills. It’s a moment of self reflection not a lecture or judgement. Standing in the mirror, asking this question, can seem uncomfortable but it’s needed for some of the rush hour traffic coming our way. This is more than a question in the mirror, IT BECOMES THE MIRROR.

Can we easily pin point different relationships where we tuned someone out: spouse, distant family member that just got to town or the coworker on your lunch break that just wouldn’t stop talking. Then there is the most important relationship… Has God ever done you like He did Adam and Eve? ( switchd question) “Are you listening?” How about, “ Are you going to be still to receive what I have for you?”

Active listening needs a few ingredients:
1. A full cup of presence
2. A cup of no distractions
3. A bucket of SURRENDER
These ingredients fit perfectly with another trio.

Do we have these ingredients?
Are we actively listening, waiting for our turn to speak or waiting for the conversation to be over?
