Two rare home movie films from Greenhills, Ohio, north of Cincinnati. Film one presents many troops and packs of Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, etc., marching near the Community Building. I was told that this was filmed during the Memorial Day Parade of 1960 by someone who was there and who recognized themselves.. Thank you kind person for the info. Film two appears to present a 4th of July Parade with red, white, and blue colors, bicycles, tricycles, wagons including a western covered wagon, and lots and lots of people from the community out in front of the Greenhills Shopping Center which still looks new at the time.
Thank you for watching. Your like really helps others to see this film. Some of the people in it are getting older now and we know how much they would enjoy seeing these parades in color once again. How nice that one of the dad's took these films, preserving Americana as it was. Some of the camera focus is a little off but that's the way a lot of amateur films are, plus the film chemicals degrade over time. All the more reason to get a scanner and scan your films. We find that by comparison the big digital scanning company that advertises a lot is not very good. They do not bother to clean films or possibly even their machines so what you get back may be dark and not be very good quality.
Your likes of this film tells us to upload others from the area so thank you very much.

Music from the YouTube Audio Library - the music changes when the second parade film begins to make it easier for you to see and hear when the change occurs.
