The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) of Saint Lucia participated in the 2025 Carib Wave regional tsunami simulation exercise on Wednesday, March 20, 2025.
Saint Lucia, like many Caribbean islands, is vulnerable to the impact of tsunamis. Recent seismic activity in the region has highlighted the need for robust disaster preparedness. Carib Wave exercises help evaluate and strengthen national emergency response strategies while ensuring that citizens are well-equipped to respond in such a crisis.
