This Magic Kingdom vlog begins with breakfast at ‘Ohana inside Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, where we meet Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey Mouse. We share how character dining works for an autistic child, what helped reduce anxiety and how cast members supported our son’s communication and comfort levels.
We then take the monorail to Magic Kingdom and watch the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade on Main Street U.S.A., these cavalcades can be a more autism-friendly alternative to full parades.
It’s a huge milestone as the kids experience Tiana's Bayou Adventure for the first time. We talk honestly about how this ride went for sensory sensitive child who don't like being wet. We also visit the newly refurbished Country Bear Jamboree.
For parade time, we stake out a spot in Frontierland for the Festival of Fantasy Parade, sharing our top Magic Kingdom parade viewing tips for autism — including space, shade, exit routes and managing overstimulation.
In Fantasyland, we ride Mad Tea Party and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and meet Mirabel from Encanto.
We also explain how we use Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS), accessibility on Disney transport and what boarding the resort bus looks like when returning to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Back at the resort, we show the Sebastian Scavenger Hunt at Old Port Royale and why structured downtime activities are essential for emotional regulation outside of the parks.
