How do you bring Human-Centred Design into one of the world’s most technical, requirement-driven environments?
This is our 6th online event on space exploration and design, discussing how design principles can influence innovation within NASA’s complex engineering culture.
We’re honoured to welcome two experts who will share their experiences:
🔹04:24 Tibor Balint – Visiting Lecturer at the Royal College of Art in Innovation and Design Research, with 22 years of experience across various roles at JPL and NASA. He is also a full member of the International Astronautical Union (IAA)
🔹27:26 Jay Trimble – Former NASA mission manager with extensive experience spanning Space Shuttle operations, deep-space missions, and lunar rover programs at NASA and JPL. He now serves as a senior engineering consultant at Serenity Space Technologies.
🎙 45:54 Moderated by Paul de Medeiros, former user-centred design specialist for ESA’s Exploration Preparation Group and NASA’s Center for Design and Space Architecture at JSC, supporting programs such as Gateway, Argonaut, and the Pressurised Rover.
Join us for a conversation that looks beyond technology and reflects on the evolving role of designers in the space industry.
