The Solid Crochet Rectangle

Today we will be working on the Solid Crochet Rectangle. The rectangle is a basic item to crochet. The Solid Crochet Rectangle can be used as a base for bags, or a base for the soap saver wash scrubbie. One can also continue by crocheting the last row over and over again, forming a larger rectangle. However if a larger one is required it is better to chain on more stitches at the beginning it makes a more smoother outcome to your rectangle.

The rectangle is crocheted using a slipknot, chains and double crochet. They are all basic stitches in crochet however if you would like to practice these stitches, then please click on the links below.
