In the morning we started our trek from Sara. The trail normal and gradient is not so high as it is motorable road now. Despite that, you will always find something new in this mysterious valley. The first tea house is at Chalak village , 30 minutes from Sara. |At every small distance you can find Mani stones laid around white stupas. These stones are engraved with Buddhist prayers, some of them in the Sanskrit language too. The villagers believe these stones are protected by some power, any harm to them will cause harm to that person. Markha village is considered as the largest village. You can find numerous houses scattered away. You have to walk in the running stream of Markha river. The chill water will bring back all the energy. After reaching at Markha village we arranged a medical camp , giving the villagers some medicines. We also gave a pencil box carrying some drawing material for the children. After that we started our trek again and arrived at Umlung campsite and homestay where everybody or agency generally stays. But leaving the the campsite behind we walk 20 minutes and find a homestay with a beautiful vegetable field. We pitched our tent there and stayed for the night.
