Zhuzhou is located in the Hunan Province in the south central area of China.

The city is southeast of the provincial capital of Changsha with Jiangxi to its east.

The geography of the area tends to be hilly, and the Xiang River runs through city, south to north.

The city has a long history. In the 1980s, archaeologists unearthed remains that dated back some four or five thousand years.

Due to Zhuzhou's location, it has an abundance of minerals and organic resources which helps it have the highest agricultural yield in the province. In addition to its agriculture, Zhuzhou has many international companies investing in the area.

The area has a population of around four million people, and ZHUZHOU IS THE 10TH BIGGEST CITY OF HUNAN PROVINCE BY POPULATION.

Zhuzhou is an important transport link for South China – with an average of a train (either passenger or industrial) passing through every three minutes!

There are convenient connections to Guangzhou, Beijing, Wuhan, and Xi'an, among other larger cities in China.

Passenger trains can be caught from the Zhuzhou Railway station, located in the downtown area of the city, or Zhuzhou West Railway Station, located about 10km from the downtown area.

For a good view of the city, head to the 293m tall television tower. It is the ninth tallest tower in China and hosts an open air observation deck as well as a revolving restaurant.

Considered to be the earliest ancestor of the Chinese people, the tomb of Emperor Yan is worth a visit.

Nearby to the tomb is Shennong Valley National Forest Park which is a scenic area that houses a number of rare plants and animals as well as waterfalls and other impressive landscapes.
