The battery cover in the HD11 is not the easiest part to remove and reinstall. This video will cover the process you need to follow to remove and re-install the battery box in your Can-Am Defender HD11
Patience is KEY. It is a tight fit, and not easily maneuvered to take off and on. The angle that it removes and installs is very important, slight adjustments to the angle and position will help to maneuver it into the correct position.
I don't mean to keep laughing about the removal, but the day before I had taken this cover fully off of another HD11, and the barrage of obscenities was extreme, it was not a video that would have been helpful, funny sure, but I became very frustrated and went on a rant. Cover of course eventually came off and was re-installed, but not a suitable video. I was just reflecting on that experience and couldn't help but laugh. enjoy your removal and installation - Patience is key for not causing damage or scuffs to the cover. while it may be poorly designed, it is designed to be removed and re-installed. eh ?
