These 5V DC to 12V DC Step Up Converters power my router, modem, fans & LED lights. So what's inside these step up converters? There is a green PCB - Printed Circuit Board. Attached to the PCB are positive & negative wires which connect to the 12V DC output. A 5V USB Male plug is at the other end which can be plugged into any 5V 2A Powerbank.

Are they any good? Well, that all depends on the device's rating. You'll need to note that there are some step up converters which are rated up to a max output of 12V 0.5A or 0.8A.
