I’ve been hearing this a lot lately and it kind of blows my mind. Songs can have all sorts of different chords in them so we need to be able to navigate through all the sounds that come up.

Major, Minor, Dom7 and Maj7 are just the bare bones starting places. They all need to be explored and learned as they all carry equal weight. Period.

It’s all about having a tonal center. And it’s all about hearing music. I’m happy to help where I can.
