Andrew Baker didn’t know in 2016 that meeting Paul Chapman would change the way Harding University serves its neighbors. What began with seven student interns has grown into Harding officially leading the 100 Families Initiative in White County. This community movement helps families overcome crisis, avoid cycles of incarceration, and move toward stability and careers.
In this clip, Baker shares that 76% of people returning to prison in Arkansas weren’t re-arrested—but simply couldn’t pay their fines. And he explains how the 100 Families Initiative was born out of Restore Hope to change that reality.
