Quedlinburg is a UNESCO World Heritage town.

Quedlinburg is in the part of Germany that used to be the DDR, the Deutsche Demokratisch Republik, the German Democratic Republic. This means, that before 1989, it was very difficult to visit this town, if you lived outside of the DDR. Now, you can just drive through and park in a particularly lovely car park – overlooked by the highest watchtower of Quedlinburg, the Lindenbeinscher Turm, that used to protect the town, but now makes you want to see more...
