iTeach - Teachers as Facilitators of Learning

Описание: iTeach is a set of six teaching and learning principles to guide early childhood educators in planning, designing and facilitating learning experiences for children.

‘T’ stands for ‘Teachers as facilitators of learning’. Early childhood educators are facilitators who plan and scaffold children’s learning based on their understanding of how children learn, their interests, needs and abilities. To further enhance children’s learning and development, early childhood educators can collaborate with families to help children make connections between what goes on in school and at home.

MOE advocates the iTeach principles outlined in the Nurturing Early Learners (NEL) Framework. The Framework is part of the NEL Curriculum, a comprehensive range of kindergarten curriculum resources developed by MOE to support early childhood educators in creating quality learning experiences for children four to six years of age.
