Festes SAN ANTONIO ABAD DE XÀBIA
Two special events mark the first fiesta of the festive calendar in Xàbia: the burning of the pine and the blessing of the animals. Both are part of the celebrations honouring San Antonio Abad, the patron saint of animals amongst other things, whose flames warm a winter's night and give strength to the sun as the days grow longer.
