Surah Yasin is the 36th chapter of the Holy Qur’an and is often referred to as the “Heart of the Qur’an.” It was revealed in Makkah and contains 83 verses (ayahs). The surah focuses on the core message of Islam: the Oneness of Allah (Tawheed), the truth of Prophethood, and the reality of the Hereafter.
It emphasizes that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent as a warner to guide people to the straight path. The surah presents powerful signs of Allah in nature—such as the alternation of night and day, the sun and the moon, and the revival of dead land—as evidence of His power. It also discusses resurrection, accountability on the Day of Judgment, and the rewards for believers and consequences for disbelievers.
