Ingredients
For making Kofta
2 medium sized potatoes (boiled)
1/2 cup powdered almonds and cashews
1 tsp cumin powder
Salt
2 tbsp besan (Gram/Chickpea flour)
For the gravy
3 tomatoes (chopped)
Salt
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp fenugreek powder
2 tbsp kasuri methi (dry fenugreek leaves)
2 cups water
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/3 cup powdered almonds and cashews
Method
To make koftas
Mash the boiled potatoes well and mix in all the ingredients to make koftas.
Mix well. With greased palms, shape the dough into koftas.
Steam the koftas for 5 mins in a steamer or a cooker.
The koftas are now ready.
To make the gravy
Add tomatoes to a pan along with all the spices and let it cook well.
Add water when the tomatoes are well cooked. Let the water come to a boil.
Mix in the powdered cashews and almonds. The gravy will thicken quickly. Take it off heat when it starts to boil.
The gravy is now ready.
To assemble the kofta gravy
Add kasuri methi (dry fenugreek leaves) to the gravy and mix well.
Add the koftas to the gravy when the gravy is still hot and serve.
