How did MC_Oda build a SAFE Trash Can in Minecraft?

Описание: A couple of days ago, I found myself glued to the screen watching ‪@MC_Oda‬ play Minecraft, where he was building some incredibly useful redstone contraptions using the new auto-crafter block. But near the end of the episode, he revealed his long-time favorite "trash can"—with a twist I had never seen before.

If you're unfamiliar with trash cans in Minecraft, they're simple machines that allow you to destroy unwanted items by dumping them into lava, using redstone engineering. However, these devices have a major flaw: if you accidentally toss a valuable item in, it's gone forever.

MC_Oda's clever twist on the design uses a trapped chest instead of a regular one, allowing him to control when items are sent to their fiery doom. By keeping the chest open, he can ensure that only the unwanted loot is disposed of, and no valuables get tossed by mistake. Once he's sure everything is in order, he closes the chest lid, activating the redstone and safely sending the items into the machine for proper disposal—garbage or rubbish, depending on your location.

Enjoy and appreciate the brilliance of this design. Seriously, I was once an avid detractor of these "evil" machines, but now, I've been fully converted.
