Steps:

Turn off your iPhone and disconnect it from any power sources.
Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws on the bottom of the phone.
Use the spudger or guitar pick to pry open the back cover.
Carefully disconnect the battery connector from the logic board.
Remove the old battery.
Apply a small amount of alcohol to the adhesive strips on the new battery.
