Everything you can build on a terraced house under permitted development - no planning permission needed if you follow these rules!
🏘️ Rear Extensions:
Single storey: 3m maximum
Large single storey: 6m (with neighbour consultation)
Two storey: 3m maximum + 7m from rear boundary
🏠 Side Extensions:
Single storey only
Maximum 50% of original house width
Cannot exceed 4m height
📏 Other Builds:
Porch: 3m² maximum
Outbuildings: Up to 50% of garden area
Height limits: 3m eaves near boundary
⚠️ Key Rules:
Cannot exceed existing roof/eaves height
Materials must match existing house
Side windows must be obscure glazed
