1.4.5 Speed, Range, and Model Tests
Service Speed: Approximately 14.6 knots at structural draft of 9.80 m, with the main engine operating at 90% MCR (including 10% sea state margin), and in calm, deep water conditions (but the final speed is subject to the model test report).
Range: Approximately 10,000 nautical miles based on service speed, fuel consumption, fuel tank volume, and freshwater tank volume.
Model Tests (Owner's Responsibility)
Model tests are required for this vessel. Data includes:
Resistance tests at structural and ballast drafts
Self-propelled tests of stock propellers at structural and ballast drafts
Self-propelled tests of design propellers at structural and ballast drafts
EEDI Tests for the Design Propeller at Structural Draft
Model tests determine the ship's theoretical speed and optimize the hull structure to achieve optimal speed performance and meet EEDI requirements. Model test reports and EEDI calculation reports must be provided to the shipowner.
This vessel meets EEDI Stage 3.
