Composition for a string quartet “The Last Song of Kauaʻi ʻōʻō Bird”.
In 1987 there was a recording made of the Kauaʻi ʻōʻō Bird’s mating call. Nobody answered his song because he was the last bird of his species. I used the transcription of the Kauaʻi ʻōʻō Bird’s melody and developed the motive in my own way.
