Other opposition party leaders have weighed in on the ongoing mishap in the Forum for Democratic Change, FDC Party.
UPC party president Jimmy Akena says what is going on in FDC worries him because he has been through it in UPC. He appealed for unity to strengthen democracy while ANT president Mugisha Muntu rallies for an alliance strong enough to take power even after President Museveni.
Ambience
The UPC party president Jimmy Akena is worried that the internal bickering at FDC could weaken the opposition party if not fixed. On his side, Muntu, rallied for an organized alliance strong enough to take power even after President Museveni.
In upholding the voice of a common man Akena insists the only solution is a free and fair election process.
The leaders were gathered at Ayami sub county in Lira District for the burial of Charles Angiro Gutmoi, a former member of FDC party and a three-time Member of Parliament for Erute North.
His party president Patrick Oboi Amuriat told mourners that Angiro had mastered the art of working with the current government.
Similarly, FDC’s former President Dr. Kizza Besigye who disclosed how he worked with the late on injustices appealed for unity instead of focusing on the party colors.
POPs
Speaker after speaker, leaders hailed Gutumoi for being bold and truthful in fighting for his people.
Late Charles Angiro Gutumoi succumbed to a fatal accident along Karuma- Pakwach highway two weeks ago. Four people perished in the accident as they headed for a tadeonal marriage in Nebbi. May their souls rest in peace.
