This time, we enjoyed Saturday brunch at South City Kitchen Buckhead, a local favorite that blends modern Southern charm with a bright, stylish aesthetic. The natural light, inviting interiors, and polished design created the perfect backdrop for a weekend brunch that felt both relaxed and elevated.

We started with their warm, fluffy biscuits served with butter and peach marmalade — absolutely delicious, the kind of bite you want to linger over. For our appetizer, we tried the Nashville Chicken Bites, which were packed with flavor and set the tone for the meal. For entrées, we ordered the Southern classic chicken and waffles, plus a plate of grits, bacon, and a golden waffle. While the chicken and waffles were a standout, the grits weren’t our favorite — they were a bit thick and dry. To round things out, we sipped on a refreshing mocktail that paired beautifully with the meal.

The food was undeniably delicious and the atmosphere was amazing, but we have to note that the service fell short this time. As regulars, we’ve come to expect more, and while the hostess at the front (who has always been kind and pleasant, even over the phone) made us feel welcome, the overall service could have been much better.

Still, South City Kitchen Buckhead remains a beautiful brunch destination — one that captures the essence of modern Southern dining and keeps us coming back.
