IFF Speed Smelling ™ Dubai

Описание: On May 5th 2015, IFF hosted its 2nd Dubai Speed Smelling™ event, in the presence of some of the region’s most prestigious Fragrance brands representatives.

The event was opened by Hussam Yaccoub, General Manager of IFF Dubai, and Sabrya Meflah, VP Regional General Manager Fine Fragrance, EAME.

Julien Rasquinet, IFF Dubai based perfumer, was joined by Star perfumers Dominique Ropion, Sophie Labbé and Aliénor Massenet from IFF Paris, and by Jean-Louis Sieuzac, now exclusive perfumer consultant for IFF in the region.

Each of the 5 perfumers had 7 minutes exactly to present their exclusive creation, each developed for the event:

• Julien Rasquinet imagined his fragrance around one of the most emblematic ambassadors of Arabic perfumery: amber. He combined beautiful spicy LMR notes to a Turkish delight accord and the newly introduced highest-quality oud oil.

• Dominique Ropion’s fragrance was triggered by a deep R&D analysis of oud oil, where molecules were identified to be similar to those in pineapple. He therefore chose to present an oud-pineapple fragrance, using exclusively launched LMR oud oil.

• Sophie Labbé took her inspiration from the sea that surrounds Dubai and created a beautiful chypre around a sea-salty accord, blended with the spicy notes. She associated it to the breathtaking skyscrapers of the city and a beautiful combination of classical LMR Rose Essential™ and Rose Ultimate Extract™.

• Aliénor Massenet created a perfume around a surprising olive note, a symbol of generosity, which she combined to LMR tonka bean and leathery notes, for a rich re-interpretation of oriental notes.

• Jean-Louis Sieuzac’s creation was inspired by the famous Fouquet café on the Champs Elysées, overhearing customers speaking Arabic and travelling back through space to the smells and tastes of the Middle-East.

LMR presented to the intrigued guests its newly introduced oud oil, produced and extracted in complete respect of LMR highest sustainability and quality standards. The power and purity of the oil seduced the audience, probably the most demanding in the world!

IFF Fragrance Ingredients division presented, for the 1st time ever to an external audience, its exclusive Amber Xtreme™ molecule, a woody ambery molecule of Xtreme Power and Xtreme Performance, particularly relevant for Middle-Eastern perfumery.
