Joe Biden is set to deliver his first primetime address this week since taking office as president to mark the one-year anniversary of the coronavirus outbreak being declared a pandemic.
The president is expected to say that although life will have returned to a “kind of normal” by the summer, with at least 530,000 Americans having lost their lives to the disease, the battle against the illness is “far from over”.
