This video presents our innovative IoT-Based Road Damage Alert System, designed to detect potholes and damaged roads automatically using sensors and GPS technology.
Road damage such as potholes, cracks, and bumps is a major cause of accidents, vehicle damage, and traffic problems. Traditional road inspection methods are slow and expensive. Our project introduces a smart and low-cost solution that detects road damage in real time and sends alerts with location information to authorities for quick repair.
In this project, we used Arduino, MPU6050 Accelerometer Sensor, GPS Module, and GSM communication to build a smart system that can detect sudden vibrations caused by potholes and report the exact location.

📍 How the System Works
The device is installed inside a moving vehicle.
When the vehicle passes over a pothole, the MPU6050 sensor detects sudden vibration.
The Arduino compares the vibration with a preset threshold.
If road damage is detected, the GPS module records the location.
The system sends an alert message to authorities or an IoT dashboard.
