Sky News contributor Emily Carver says the British Army taking down an advertisement that the Princess of Wales would attend the King’s birthday celebrations will “fuel even more speculation” over her health.
The Princess of Wales will make her first public appearance in June, according to the British Army, as they announce she will attend the King’s birthday celebrations on the 15th.
It is the first official duty announced for the Duchess since she underwent abdominal surgery in January, although Kensington House is yet to confirm her appearance.
“Apparently, the Army did not confirm the fact that they were going to advertise that the Princess of Wales would be at the Trooping of the Colour in June, at this event, and they’ve now taken it down,” Ms Carver told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“They’ve taken it down because Kensington Palace said, ‘We have not confirmed that’.
“They’ve taken it down, so it’s all a bit messy – that, of course, is going to fuel even more speculation over the Princess of Wales and her health … so it’s all a little bit tricky.”
