In this episode, I explore one of Bulathsinhala’s hidden natural gems — Yakagala Camping Site, a scenic viewpoint I discovered by following a simple roadside sign. Located just a few kilometers off the Bulathsinhala–Agalawatta route, this spot offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding hills, misty valleys, and green forest canopies. It’s a perfect place to relax, camp overnight, or enjoy a peaceful cup of tea surrounded by nature’s calm.
After capturing the serenity of Yakagala, I continued my journey towards Agalawatta, reaching the beautiful Atamba Ella Waterfall — a small but incredibly charming waterfall hidden within the lush greenery. The water flow and surrounding forest create a tranquil setting that’s ideal for photography and short hikes.
📍 Location Tips:
Yakagala Camping Site – around 6 km from Bulathsinhala town, accessible by motorbike or small car.
Atamba Ella – near Agalawatta town, about 20 minutes from Yakagala.
Best time to visit: early morning or evening for the best light and cool breeze.
