Sony CFO responds to backlash over ending physical discs for PlayStation:

"At this point in time, we are not seeing any impact on our business, as of now… a large part is already digitized. And therefore as a result the discontinuation of discs, we don't see that there will be any negative impact on our business.

However, as I already said, the users, the players have attachments and we have to think about how to respond to those feedbacks." They’re calling the bluff. This is when all that “vote with your wallet” stuff comes in. Because the only way they’re gonna feel it is if them numbers start slippin. The new PlayStation kinda sucks. They used to be cool man. Sony says it expects Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, Marvel’s Wolverine and God of War Laufey to continue to drive performance in its PlayStation business. People can boycott all they want, but I think that the only thing that will actually get Sony's attention is if the PS6 fails. Like, Virtual Boy level of failing. But between this and the rumored $1,000 price point, we may just get that level of failure. So they'll ignore the players and their lifelong customers for over a month and then when they finally turn to make a statement, its to their shareholders, not us. PlayStation 5 is the second worst selling Sony home console of all time. And it remarkebly pulled ahead of PS3 because of the good faith it earned from gamers who bought PS4.

But a whole generation of almost NO GAMES and a disasterous PR move? I can guarantee you that PS6 flops

That should tell you all you need to know about Sony and Playstation. Since PS6 is going all digital, just get a PC.

Both will be expensive af but you don't need to pay to play online on PC, games discounts are WAY better, far more options and can run even better if you've got the hardware.
