This video shows the Windows application for the Arinst SSA-TG R2 portable spectrum analyzer.
The first part of the video just shows the different menus. First the RF input has a UHF/VHF antenna connected. I zoom into the FM radio band and then onto the local DVB-T transponder.
The second part of the video tests the signal generator. For this I attached the RF output to my R&S CMU200 input (RF2 port). The CMU200 is connected to my PC by means of a Keysight GPIB USB adapter and I am using my "VMA Simple Spectrum Analyser for R&S CRTU/CMU200" to make the measurements.
Initially it seems that the signal level of the signal generator cannot be changed, but after switching it off/on, it starts to work as expected and is spot on.
Overall, the Arinst SSA-TG R2 performs according to its specs and represents excellent value for money in a really handy package that fits in your hand. Ideal for mobile use, but perfectly ok for lab use, too.
