Friends of Franklin, a non-profit organization concerned with wildlife and biodiversity in the area of the Franklin Game Reserve on Naval Hill, welcomed two giraffe cows, Zuri and Kariba, to the reserve on Tuesday 11 April.
According to the chairperson of Friends of Franklin, Andri Grobbelaar, this was done with the hope of improving Bloemfontein. If this can be done one step at a time through conservation, that would be great. "This is a unique environment. It is one of four places in the world where there is a nature reserve in a city. Thank you for sharing in the dream of preserving this place and keeping it going."
