This time, I spent a warm and lovely New Year’s season with my family, all together for the first time in a while.
New Year’s in Japan isn’t as loud or party-like as in some other countries.
Instead, we usually gather with family or friends, count down together in front of the TV, or welcome the New Year by visiting a shrine.
In Japan, the New Year holidays are actually longer than Christmas.
We spend time at home enjoying lots of delicious food, going out, traveling a bit, and shopping.
I hope you can feel and enjoy a little bit of the Japanese year-end and New Year atmosphere through this video.
