Impacts of Contemporary Media (a study of YouTube and TikTok)

Описание: In the contemporary media landscape there are a number of specific impacts that have affected the relationship between media institutions and individual audiences. This video looks at three of these impacts:
That the media now sustains social networks,
That it distributes both commercial and user-generated content, and
That it has created new modes of production, distribution, consumption and reception

I use YouTube and TikTok as broad case studies to demonstrate these impacts.
