Oral/Video History Series @dhshistoricalsociety Doris Thorson was a full time resident of Desert Hot Springs decades ago with humble beginnings after moving into "The Sand Belt." A few years later Doris and her husband and children moved to higher ground in DHS. She and her husband enjoyed the tight-knit active community and the opportunity to be involved with charitable organizations like The Pied Pipers and The Rotary Club.
Doris shares stories on what made Desert Hot Springs a wonderful place to raise a family even in the midst of town turmoil at over the years.
