UKRAINIAN TAVERN in Toronto! Ukrainian Food at Barrel House Korchma!

Located in Etobicoke, Barrel House Korchma is one of the best restaurants in Toronto specializing in authentic Ukrainian dishes like borscht, schnitzel, varenyky, cabbage rolls and more. And what's special is the pub is set as a traditional Ukrainian tavern! It's a great way to taste Ukrainian cuisine and culture.

Here's everything we ordered at Barrel House Korchma:
Varenyky ($12) - Traditional homemade style perogies topped with caramelized onions or fried bacon bits and served with sour-cream on the side. Flavour options include: potato, potato with cottage cheese, buckwheat with feta cheese, and cabbage.

Cabbage Rolls ($10) - 2 pieces Stuffed cabbage rolls with rice and minced pork. Served with sour cream on the side.

Potato Pancakes ($11) - 4 pieces Fried potato pancakes, served with sour cream and mushroom gravy on the side.

Borscht ($9) - Traditional homemade beet soup with shredded cabbage, vegetables, potatoes, and smoked meat. Served with 2 baked buns.

Chicken Shashlik ($20) - Grilled chicken skewers, served with a side dish of your choice. We got roasted potato with dill.

Pork Schnitzel ($19) - Fried breaded pork cutlet, served with a side dish of your choice. We got stir fry sauerkraut.

Ukrainian Sausage ($19) - Ukrainian style sausage served with horseradish and beets and a side dish of your choice. We got grilled vegetables.

My top 2 favourite dishes at Barrel House Korchma are the Ukrainian Sausage and Potato Pancakes. If you enjoy beer, be sure to try the Shevchenko on tap, which is a Ukrainian Dark Lager!
