NTSB report offers glimpse of last moments before deadly Boca Raton plane crash

Описание: A new report offers insight into the last moments of the flight that ended in tragedy last month when a small plane crashed in Boca Raton.

On Wednesday, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released its preliminary report into the April 11 crash that killed all three people who were on the plane and injured one person on the ground.

According to the report, the Cessna 310R had just taken flight from Boca Raton Airport that morning, on its way to Tallahassee, when one of the two pilots on board reported to air traffic control that they were having a problem with the airplane’s rudder and that they could only make left turns.

Federal investigators noted video captured by the airport’s surveillance camera showed the plane taking off and yawing to the left out of the frame of the camera. It came back into view briefly, still turning left. Other video from witnesses also showed the plane flying low to the ground and in a left yaw.
