You finally got your dream yacht! Although it had a previous owner, the boat is in excellent condition, and you are ready to set sail. The one thing you don’t like: THE NAME!

So, you want to change it to match you, your business, or to be more appealing. However, you know that you need the sea and wind gods on your side while sailing and they are not fond of just changing the name.

To properly please all the sailing gods you must follow the below steps to rename your vessel:

1) Remove ALL TRACES of the boat’s old name
2) Rededicate the Vessel and offer libation to the sea gods
3) Call to and offer libation to the wind gods
4) Perform the ‘Christening’
5) Celebrate with your guests (yes, this is important as the gods like a good party!)
