What is Fatty Liver Disease ?
Fatty Liver Disease is caused by the storage of extra fat in the liver

The condition progresses through three stages
Stage 1: Steatohepatitis: Liver cells become inflamed
Stage 2: Fibrosis : Scar tissue forms where the liver is inflamed
Stage 3: Cirrhosis : Extensive Scar tissue replace healthy tissue
This stage leads to Liver Failure, Liver Cancer, Ascites, Esophageal Varices

Types of Fatty Liver Disease
Alcoholic fatty liver disease of (AFLD): Occurs as a result of heavy drinking
Non alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD):Occurs due to several factors, such as obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome
Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH): NASH is a type of NAFLD. It occurs when the build up of excess fat in the liver is accompanied by inflammation
