Every day, I sit down with the Teenage Engineering OP-1 Field, write a new title in my notebook, and compose something from scratch. These daily sketches are all part of a longer journey toward my second album, which will be recorded entirely on the OP-1 Field and released in 2026.

Day 44: Constant Pressure.
Today’s title isn’t a statement, just a phrase I noticed while out walking earlier, and one that seemed to fit the feel of the music.
Constant Pressure is built around a simple, syncopated groove, exploring how small rhythmic shifts and displaced accents can make a minimal idea feel alive. Rather than adding complexity, the focus here is on letting the groove breathe and subtly push against itself.
Toward the end of the piece, I bring in some live piano using the Retrograde ‘Lunar’ patch, adding a final layer of movement and texture.
Sometimes it’s not about changing the idea — just changing where it leans.
