This pattern uses US crochet terminology.

This pattern uses Paintbox Cotton Aran in ‘Soft Fudge’ for colour 1 and ‘Coffee Bean’ for colour 2.

All sizes and quantities are indicative, and will vary from person to person. It is recommended that you test your tension by making a 10cm / 4in” x 10cm / 4” swatch before beginning your project, you can then scale the amount of stitches up or down to allow for any differences.

The top is designed to have a square fit and has a heavy, chunky feel when using the Cotton Aran yarn. The yarn can be switched out for an alternative type, but is advised that you make a tension swatch to check how it scales.


Gauge:

10cm / 4in” x 10cm / 4” square = 16 stitches wide x 16 stitches tall in half double crochet
