How to Use VLC Media Player to Record Linux Screen Video

Описание: This video is showing a way to record your Linux Desktop Screen. I met a situation which there was no way to install those popular screen record software, such as Kazam, SimpleScreenRecorder, recordMyDesktop, ScreenStudio etc.

I were using Ubuntu 14 desktop live USB version. I did not install Ubuntu to local hard drive, and I am just running a live cd from usb. I found all those popular screen recording software could not be installed for all kinds of reasons, such as missing some lib files. Just before I gave up, i found VLC was able to record screen video in linux ,and VLC was able to be installed on this live CD environment.

That is how I ended it with this video.
